BEST NEW SONGS: LADY LESHURR - #UNLESHED (PANDA FREESTYLE)

While I have a standing issue with using #hashtags in song titles, I’ll make an exception for Lady Leshurr’s latest, “#UNLESHED (Panda Freestyle).” The London native absolutely wrecks sh*t over Desiigner’s “Panda” beat.

This feels like the perfect follow up to her Queen’s Speech series. On display, or rather #UNLESHED, here is Leshurr’s background as a battle rapper, her Caribbean roots, and her incredibly range and dexterity. She raps with a ferocity that’s juxtaposed with her diminutive 5-foot frame. I’ve heard of speaking softly yet carrying a big stick, but Lady Leshurr’s physical presence matched with her rapping prowess seems to be the exact opposite.

Kaylum directed the official video for #UNLESHED, which mainly features a gal whose Christian name is Melesha O'Garro looking menacing on the streets of London and, of course, on a throne. Check it out.
